چکیده
Myobrace is a preformed functional orthodontic device, especially used in interceptive orthodontic cases. Its mechanism of action is a combination of a functional device , a positioner and a myofunctional therapy device. The purpose of this study is to describe the appliance, in particular its structural characteristics and its mechanism of action.

Interception of Malocclusion in the Mixed Dentition with Prefabricated Appliances and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
This article reports the use of Myobrace® appliances, in conjunction with orofacial myofunctional therapy, for the effective early treatment of a developing malocclusion (Class II, division 2 incisor relationship) in the mixed dentition. The Myobrace® appliances used are prefabricated functional appliances with tooth positioning and myofunctional training characteristics. Myofunctional therapy-...

Introduction. It was previously demonstrated that abnormal neuromuscular function can disturb the development of an optimal dentofacial pattern. Objectives. The role of the present study was to investigate the effect of myofunctional appliances in the interception of malocclusion. Material and method. The role of myofunctional trainers in the interception of malocclusion was evaluated. We prese...

Dentofacial growth interferences, caused by abnormal lip and tongue function in the mixed dentition period are a common clinical condition. The main purpose of the treatment in such cases is to eliminate oral dysfunction, establish muscular balance and correct or diminish maxillary incisor protrusion. The position of the teeth is determined by the lip and tongue pressure. Lip function may have ...

AIM Bad habits result in altered functions which with time can cause anomalies of the orofacial morphology. To solve these problems, orthodontic treatment can be supported by myofunctional therapy in order to recover the normal functionality of the oral muscles. The aim of this study is to assess the need to treat patients with neuromuscular disorders, from both the occlusion and the musc...

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of craniofacial morphology and tongue position in children with Class III malocclusion after tongue myofunctional exercises (TME). TME were applied to 25 patients with class III malocclusion for 1.01 ± 0.02 years. Lateral cephalograms were taken and cephalometric analysis was evaluated. Compared with the control group, facial angle, S-Ti ...
